[NEWS] 181025 U-KISS’s Hoon Reveals Family Member Is Victim Of Assault

U-KISS member Hoon revealed that the victim of the violence incident that happened in an elementary school at Mokpo is his family member.

On October 24, Hoon posted a statement on his Instagram. The statement revealed that an elementary student in Mokpo who became brain dead after being assaulted by another student is his family member. According to Mokpo Police Station and other authorities, fifth grade student “A” fell down unconscious on the floor on October 23, around 9 a.m. KST after being assaulted by another student in the same school. “A” still has not gained consciousness yet.

“Currently, one student attending Seohae Elementary School in Mokpo, South Jeolla Province is brain dead and unconscious. Even if he gains consciousness, his mental age will be that of a three or a four year old. I am so mad and upset to hear that the parents of the attacker are laughing and chatting in front of the ICU (Intensive Care Unit).

The child who is brain dead is my family. My family members cannot be comforted because the investigation is not proceeding smoothly due to the fact that this incident happened between elementary school students. Violence is violence even if an elementary student did it. The child is under critical condition, but the attacker did not receive any proper punishment. The school is also taking no action whatsoever and says that other students are anxious. I am very distressed. I hope that my family members don’t get hurt anymore. I hope that his consciousness returns to him soon.”

[NEWS] 180724 Kevin Woo Signs Contract With Famous Japanese Agency

Kevin Woo has signed a management contract with a famous Japanese agency.

A source from Japan Music Entertainment, which also houses actors Shinohara Ryoko, Tanihara Shosuke, and more, stated, “We have decided to work with Kevin on his Japanese activities starting July 22.”

Kevin is the first hallyu singer in his agency and he plans to begin his solo activities in Japan with a bang. Revealing his strong ambitions, he said, “I will work to collaborate with the company seniors I admire.”

In 2008, Kevin debuted as a U-KISS member and during his Japanese debut in 2011, he had garnered much attention for his height and cute appearance. After ending his contract in March 2017 and leaving U-KISS, Kevin was revealed to have been receiving vocal and dance training for his Japanese activities.

Kevin revealed his final goals to be “standing on stage at Tokyo Dome as a solo artist.” He is currently holding promotional event performances at various places around Japan.

U-KISS’s Soohyun has enlisted in the military.

On December 28, his agency NHemg revealed, “Soohyun expressed his wish to ‘quietly enter the military training center,’ so he quietly enlisted in the military today with just the U-KISS members and company family present.”

Soohyun commented through his agency, “I will diligently work as a citizen of Korea, and I am sorry to share sudden enlistment news with fans, but I believe that you will understand. I will return as a more mature and healthy person, so please give lots of loving support to U-KISS even while I am gone. Thank you always.”

Soohyun has entered the recruit training center of the 15th battalion and will continue as an active duty soldier after completing his basic training.

NH Media gave a new update on U-KISS’s Kiseop on September 12 and emphasized that the idol’s health and recovery is their top priority.

An agency representative stated, “Kiseop has been focusing on receiving treatment and monitoring his injuries at the hospital. His condition has definitely improved since his injury.” The idol suffered second degree burns when a smoke emitter exploded on the set of a music video he was filming. Fragments of the emitter became lodged in his body and he was soon rushed to the hospital. Kiseop is currently resting at home and continuing his outpatient treatment.

When asked about U-KISS’s future comeback plans, NH Media replied that they have temporarily been put on hold to ensure that Kiseop makes a full recovery. The representative explained, “We don’t have any concrete comeback plans as of now, but we will announce them once they are confirmed. What’s important right now is that Kiseop suffered an injury, and his recovery is our top priority.”

On June 7, an inside source revealed that Eli’s wife went into labor and gave birth to their son today.

The insider said, “The mother and child are both healthy. Eli is very happy.”

Eli previously revealed that he and his wife had registered their marriage in June 2014.

In an Instagram post, the U-KISS member opened up about having dated his wife for five years and that they were expecting a child.

U-KISS fans can now rejoice because the group is finally making a comeback in Korea!

On May 18, U-KISS hosted a live broadcast over Naver’s V app from the set of their upcoming music video. They sing a short bit of their new song for fans, to give us a taste of what we can expect from them soon.

Soohyun also describes their comeback concept as “powerful performance,” and says that we can all look forward to it. Kevin translates for English-speaking fans, and explains, “It’s been around a year and a half since our last comeback in Korea, and if ‘Playground’ was a medium-tempo softer side concept, this time it’s going to be a really powerful dance track.”

The guys then joke around as they show off each of their new hair styles for this comeback, before having to return to filming.

In addition, U-KISS’s agency has also stated, “The members are focused on working on their new album, with the goal of staging a comeback in early June. They are currently working on the post-production stage.”

U-KISS debuted in 2008, and have been very active in Japan recently. Their latest release in Korea was the mini album “Always” in January of 2015.

In another twist in the convoluted saga, U-KISS member Eli has deactivated both his Instagram and Twitter accounts.

Eli first dropped a bombshell on fans just over a week ago announcing that he had married in secret and that he and his wife are expecting a child. The post was subsequently deleted, then reposted, and then deleted again. His agency, NH EMG, released a statement shortly thereafter to clarify the situation.

In the days following, Eli’s fellow members Soohyun and Kevin both took to Twitter to voice their support, and Eli himself spoke out in more detail a few days after his initial announcement. Due to the fact that almost all of these statements have included an apology towards fans who may have felt betrayed, it’s a safe guess that Eli’s reasoning for deleting his social media accounts is in part due to the fans’ reaction.

Meanwhile, NH EMG has stated that Eli’s schedules will not be affected by this news. He continues to film for the upcoming drama “Only You” with Kevin.

U-KISS‘ Kevin and Eli have both been cast in a cable drama.

In TV Joseon‘s upcoming drama “Only You (tentative title),” Kevin will play the role of Hong Suk, the leader of a five-member idol group “Pentagon.” Eli will play Kei, one of the members who is the energetic mood maker of the group.

This drama centers around a famous celebrity who doesn’t believe in love, a woman who is betrayed by love, and a man who dreams of becoming famous. The story unfolds as these three meet and develop relationships.

Since Kevin and Eli are actual idol members, their roles will feel more natural to them than others. In the drama, they will showcase a different style of music than what U-KISS have shown their fans.

This 16-episode drama will start airing in December.

[NEWS] 131209 U-KISS’ Hoon Involved in Minor Car Accident, Not Seriously Injured

U-KISS member Hoon was involved in a car accident recently, causing fans to be worried.

A representative from U-KISS’ agency, NH Media, stated on December 9 that, “Hoon was driving on December 4, when he got into a minor fender-bender. The victim is currently receiving hospital treatment, while Hoon was not seriously injured.”

According to NH Media, the accident occurred at the COEX four-way intersection in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Hoon was driving leader Soohyun’s car, when he collided with the car in front, causing an accident with his inexperienced driving. Both Hoon and the other party were not seriously injured. Hoon’s agency stated that they plan to negotiate a settlement with the other party after they finish receiving treatment.

Hoon has since crossed over to Japan to concentrate on U-KISS’ Japanese promotions. He left a message for fans on his official Twitter account on December 9, “I’m sorry for causing everyone to worry. I am really fine.”

Hoon is currently acting in KBS 2TV’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “Beautiful Man,” playing IU’s younger brother, Kim Dae Shik. Hoon and his fellow U-KISS members released their eighth mini-album at the end of October and have been promoting their title song “She’s Mine.”

U-KISS will be holding their first U.S. tour next January.
