U-KISS’ new Japanese single has been selected as the theme song for an upcoming new Japanese drama.
NH Media revealed on December 17 U-KISS’ upcoming single Alone had been selected as the theme song of NHK’s upcoming drama Bookstore Worker Michiru’s Personal Story
Alone is U-KISS’ sixth Japanese single which will be released in February. The use of a U-KISS’ song as the theme song for the drama of a major public station like NHK is a first for the group and reflects the group’s growing success there since its Japanese debut roughly a year ago.
Bookstore Worker Michiru’s Personal Story is based on a popular novel by Sato Shogo and tells the story of a bookstore worker named Michiru whose life changes overnight after winning in a lottery drawing. The drama premieres on NHK on January 8.
U-KISS is also said to be working on a new Korean album with the hopes to have it released in March.
